Management as a Group

When we say that management of this company. is good, we are referring to the group of people those who are managing this company The group works together, using common resources, to achieve a common goal or goals This means that group behaviour plays an important role in management.

Management as a group may be looked as all managers taken together, All managers taken together from chief executive to the first-line managers (lower-level managers).  or only the top management like Chief Executive, Chairman, General Manager, Board of Directors etc. In other words, those who are concerned with making important decisions.

there are 3 types of managers :

1) Professional Managers: managers who have been appointed on account of their specialized knowledge and degree.

2) Patrimonial or Family Manager: especially in family companies those who have become managers by virtue of being owners or relatives of the owners of the company.

3) Political Managers / Civil Servants: Those who manage public sector undertakings.
